As I am "listening" to my Macroeconomics lecture (snooze fest), I am swooning over the new goodies I got this month from my Ipsy Glam Bag subscription. I get a BirchBox every month too, but I think Ipsy trumps BB this month, for sure. Sorry BirchBox. Still love you! =* To start, this cute little guy held all my samples. How cute are you?!
There is scalloped detailing around the entire bag and the inside is a bright white. Adorbs!
Inside the bag, I received two things I am really excited about:
1). Tinted lip balm, because you can never have enough, duh.
2). A new bronzer--I hit pan on my Hoola and am looking for a replacement. Perfect timing!
I swatched them as soon as I could rip the packaging open...I couldn't wait. I guess it is safe to say I love make up...really love make up. #sorrynotsorry
I prefer the photo without the flash because I look less ghostly pale, but in both photos, the pigmentation and saturation of the colors are pretty true to what they actually look like in person.
The bronzer is more on the red side, which I feel may look too orange on my pale skin in the day light. Maybe blended out would look better, but this swatch scares me a bit. And it is a little sparkly too, so I am not sure how it will look on my face.
The lip balm. The. Lip. Balm. Buttery, smooth and so light. It feels great on my lips and has awesome pigmentation. The color is very saturated and you only need a few swipes and you're good to go. It smells minty fresh too! Great color for the summer and spring, and I would even wear it for the fall and winter months.
As for the other items I received, I can't swatch two of them because one of a tanning lotion (which, by the photos above, I clearly need a little Vitamin D) and spray for my hair. The other item I received was a Bare Minerals cream eye shadow. I don't know how i feel about it, since I swatched it on my thumb and I wasn't really a fan. But maybe I will play around with it later on and see how I like it and post my feelings about it at a different time.
No new jewelry tonight, but am looking forward to some more free time to make a new piece!
