Vacation, Gotta Get Away

It has been nearly two years without a vacation. A solid 40 hours a week for two years straight. No time to relax or to spend with family or loved ones. I was this close to losing it (some moments I thought I had). I know there are people who never take time off (my mother being an example) but with my work and school schedule bogging me down, I needed a mental breather.

I would not have minded taking a few days off to do nothing--because really, doing nothing is better than working. #truth

I wanted to actually vacation somewhere. A tropical island is not in my budget, so I opted for the next closest thing...Rhode Island.

I coordinated with my wonderful boyfriend to make sure we had some time together and we took a little trip to Providence. From there we visited Newport (breathtaking) and then stayed in the Boston area. In the three nights and four days we were together, I had such an amazing time. I didn't think about work and only a little about school. I know.

We saw some amazing architecture,  beautiful sunsets, took lots of pictures and just enjoyed our time together. We may be thinking of doing this at least once a year if we can coordinate our schedules again. This was so needed and we will always remember these moments. ๐Ÿ˜™

Here are a few photos of our trip. Enjoy!
